It seems like a lot of a producer’s time during production of a feature film is spent either on the phone or driving from one place to another. And sometimes both at the same time. Today was no exception.
Doug is the star of movies and television shows such as the Oscar-winning “The Shape of Water,” “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” “Falling Skies,” and many, many more. I couldn’t be more pleased to have my good friend in our film!
We also did what is known as a “company move” – moving the entire group of cast, crew, trucks, catering, and… well, everything to a new location in Decatur, Georgia. That’s always a complex operation, but somehow, we all made it to the new location, which the art department had decked out in Thanksgiving decor – soon to be replaced with Christmas decorations!

We’ve got a crack team of professionals on the crew, including our director of photography Cliff Jones, first assistant camera Ruthie Grumbine, and key grip Michael Cronin.
