We get a quick lunch break built into each day, and so today, I finally managed to catch up with the wonderful Audrey Easton – the hardest working woman in show biz.
Audrey is our 1st Assistant Director (1st AD), which is an incredibly important job in the filmmaking process and without which a complex creative project like ours would devolve into chaos and insanity.
But that doesn’t happen to us because, simply put, Audrey gets the job done.
Our current location is an actual house in Decatur, Georgia. And in order to get a lot of these shots, we have to cram a lot of people into one room, as you can see here. And especially because it’s someone’s actual home, we go out of our way to treat the space with respect.
We had some very special guests visit the set as well – from Asbury University, screenwriting professor and former Warner Bros. story guru, Sean Gaffney, and his wonderful wife, acting professor and actress, Catherine Gaffney, pictured here with their good friends, director Cory Edwards, co-screenwriter Vicki Edwards, and lyricist Elliot Edwards.
