Today was a full day of creative problem-solving, which is really what film producing is about when all is said and done.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I caught up with two of our actors, Matt Anspach and Ellis Myers, who were just about to step into a set with some fellow cast members, where they were going to get into a little Christmas mayhem.
Acting is a noble profession, going back over 2500 years to the first recorded performance by the ancient Greek Thespis in 534 B.C., and we honored that nobility today by having our actors sword fight with Christmas wrapping paper tubes in a dank basement. (C’mon, admit it, you’ve done it too.)
A quick study in how our director of photography C Clifford Jones gets dressed in the morning. (With the help of 1st Assistant Camera Ruthie Grumbine.)

Director Cory Edwards, script supervisor Tori Layne, and 1st AD Audrey Easton analyzing a scene in the video village today.

Our art department folks are gathered together from some of the top television and film projects around. They have proven to be a huge asset to us as they put together wonderful Christmas sets – in the middle of March.
