We’re more than halfway through our principal photography at “All Is Merry & Bright,” and there’s a lot more to shoot. And there’s a whole lot going on today!
Let me introduce you to Stephanie Purcell, who is a field producer for our production. A lot of times we have to find a corner and get ourselves out of the way of the moving grip gear and lights. I tracked Stephanie down, tucked into a corner of the dining room and working on contracts just as they were getting ready to call “action” on a scene.
There’s an old saying in filmmaking that you should never work with kids or animals. We’re cheerfully breaking both rules in our film. Here you see Pickles the Dog, who has a standout role as “Oscar” in our film, being held by actress Desiree Ross at the table with Sally Struthers and John O’Hurley.
We tried to get #JackTheDog to play the part, but he refused to come out of his trailer.
